Delays, Celebrations, and the Wheel of Time π π
Jul 08, 2020 8:31 am
Greetings, Resistance
How are you holding together in these trying times?
Things are still quiet here in P'toria.
Far too quiet.
Everyone is on edge these days, wondering what the Overlord is planning.
I'm told that in certain parts of the world, there was recently a celebration of independence. If you are among those who celebrate, allow me to wish you belated well-wishes. I hope your day was a good one.
Now, for those who have been waiting for the spoken version of Dawn of the Overlords, I'm afraid I have some unfortunate news. It seems the Voice Sorcerers Guild (Auditory Casters Exchange, or ACX for short) have their hands full these days and the process of getting the volume approved is taking an excessively long time.
You'll be the first to know when I have more information, but right now they are not telling me just what the issue might be.
If you're interested but missed it last time for whatever reason, you can still listen to a sample of the spoken volume by chanting the following incantation:
Now, my next piece of news is regarding the upcoming volume in the chronicle known as Blood of the Dragons.
Unfortunately, it is looking more and more as if the publication is going to experience further delays. I'm pushing the scribes as hard as I can to work faster, but, Gods Above, it seems almost as though the more I push the less they accomplish.
It truly is the most vexing experience of my life.
(Yes, that is correct, I even place it above the first appearance of the Overlord and his dragons!)
Please forgive the reminder, I just want you to keep in mind that you can still pre-order the upcoming book HERE so you can be the first to read it when it is finally ready.

And now, a word from our benefactor:
Hello everyone.
I hope you're keeping your head up in these difficult times.
For those following my progress, I started re-listening to the Wheel of Time audiobooks during my daily commute a little over two months ago and I just finished book seven, A Crown of Swords.
Against all my expectations, I'm still loving this re-read so much! I never would have believed how much more I'm enjoying the story over my first read of the series.
If you're interested, you can find my reviews on Goodreads, starting with the prequel, New Spring, HERE.
Or you can read my most recent review, of Lord of Chaos HERE.
Now, for those who might be looking for new reading material while you wait for Revenge of the Overlords, I have a couple of suggestions for you.
To start things off,
I have a soft spot in my heart for protagonists with disabilities, so The Flawed Princess be Alice Ivinya grabbed my attention right away. Throw in some quite gorgeous writing and it should come as no surprise that this one's going on my TBR.
And now,
The absolutely stunning artwork is just a small part of what immediately drew me to A Veil for the Vanguard by Danny Santos. The voice sounds incredibly quirky and sarcastic, which is just up my alley. And I'm a sucker for heroes that are really just ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Definitely check this one out if you feel the same!

P.S.: For those of you who have been following its progress, how are you feeling about the upcoming Wheel of Time TV series? I'd love to chat about it via email or social media!
