Greeting friends!

I’m sorry for the delay regarding Catherine. I kept hoping we’d have more answers before I wrote again. The good news is that Catherine has completely recovered from the heart catheterization. Unfortunately, we still do not have information about the possibility of heart surgery. Until yesterday, the hospital had refused to release the catheterization report. But Doreen’s persistence paid off— we have the results, and we can begin to move forward again. I do believe that God’s hand is in the timing of all of these things, even though we may find it slow and frustrating.

Other good news is that Catherine was prescribed medication for her heart which has made her more energetic and playful. And, thanks to a few of you, we don’t have to wonder how to pay for this medication. Catherine is grateful!

Meanwhile, I want to share an amazing update…

Marie’s* father is a police officer who thinks he is untouchable. He sexually abused Marie many times until she was rescued by Lupins. Even after his arrest, he successfully bribed a judge and got out on bail. When Doreen found out, she worked hard to get him back in jail. But Doreen was only given 10 days to act before he would be released again. She managed to get an expedited trial. I am happy to say that, on July 9th, justice was served! We won the case and he received 25 years in jail! God cares about justice, and so do we!! Thank you for providing this victory through your much needed financial gifts and prayers. Doreen wants you to know she is humbled by your love.
