Hi Friends!

I wanted to send a save-the-date to each of you who has expressed interest in visiting Lupins Africa in Uganda in 2025. The planned dates for this visit are January 15th-26th, 2025, give or take a few days. Here is the current general plan: I will arrange housing in Uganda with transportation from (and returning to) the Entebbe International airport, in Uganda. I will plan a general itinerary (with plenty of time to visit the girls) and provide some excursion options. I will also provide my flight itinerary and some suggestions of airlines to Uganda (I won’t be arranging the flights, but I’m happy to help you pick the flights). We will all attend a banquet to celebrate the official launch of Lupins Africa in Uganda (it is customary to do this on the 4 or 5 year anniversary of a nonprofit in Uganda). The date for this banquet will be Saturday, January 25th.

On January 17th & 18th (Friday & Saturday), there will be an annual Ultimate Frisbee tournament (my husband started this 🙂) between churches in Uganda. The girls from Lupins love to watch (and some even play!). You can participate/watch (or not 😆), it will be completely up to you! But this event will provide a fun, and low stress, way to spend time with the girls.

In summary, this will be a sort of scouting trip, with flexibility and the opportunity to learn more about Lupins Africa and the country of Uganda. If you would like to lengthen or shorten your trip, that is not a problem. We can figure out those details as we get closer to 2025. If this type of trip appeals to you, I’d love to have you join us! Let me know so I can get a general head count for planning on purposes. I will need an estimate, for housing purposes, within the next few weeks.
