How does Lupins Restore Families?

Prayer Focus: Reunification
“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.” 2 Corinthians 13:11
Reunifying a child with her family is important, yet it can be challenging. To clarify, a girl who has been sexually abused will remain at the Lupins home until holistic healing is evident. And she will never knowingly be sent back to an abusive or otherwise unsafe situation. However, it is not uncommon for the abuse to occur unbeknownst to the parent or caregiver. And the revelation of the abuse is often devastating to this family member. This was evidenced recently when M, one of the young ladies at Lupins, was raped by her own father. When her caregiving grandmother was told that her own son was the rapist, she was devastated and in desperate need of healing. Lupins is now in the process of offering her counseling and other assistance. Sadly, this occurrence is far from unique. Therefore, it is the conviction of Lupins that the ministry of hope and healing be extended to these hurting caregivers. We are seeking God’s direction regarding this new endeavor.
Will you pray with us?
- For discernment for Lupins staff regarding every reunification opportunity
- For God’s specific direction as Lupins seeks to extend healing opportunities to affected family members and caregivers
- For the financial means to meet these new needs
Thank you for your support and care.
Sincerely,
Kristen Dean
