Rescued people, rescue people

You may have heard it said, “Hurt people, hurt people”. But I say, in Christ, “Rescued people, rescue people”...
A few weeks ago, Sara was removed from a terrible situation of sexual abuse. Shortly after arriving at the Lupins safe home, in the middle of the night, she was discovered trying to strangle herself. The girls, mama Josephine, and Francis, the security guard, chose to pray with Sarah all night. Since that time, Sarah has had no other emergencies like this. As a result of this incident, the girls made the decision to increase their prayer times from twice a day to every three waking hours. They now pray at 6 AM, 9 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM and 9 PM. Just to remind you, these are the girls who were rescued from severe sexual abuse within the last year. To say God is doing a mighty work in their lives is an understatement. This is nothing short of miraculous. These girls can become the next leaders of Uganda. It’s so important for them to begin school in a few weeks. $50/month will provide an outstanding private Christian education for 1 of these girls. $500/month will enable every one of these newly rescued girls to begin school in 2025. Can you provide this opportunity?
Thank you for standing with me these past months, as I sought to make financial ends meet. In 2025, I would like the focus to be on God and all that He is accomplishing in the girls’ lives through your gifts and the faithful Lupins’ staff. We still have rather significant financial needs, but I’m going to express them more subtly in future newsletters. At the bottom of this newsletter, there is a photo of a pyramid. This pyramid represents the number of additional monthly givers, and respective monthly giving amounts, necessary to fund our budget this year. As it now stands, beginning in June, we will be $5,000 short per month (our total monthly budget is about $8,000). I will update the pyramid each newsletter so you can give and pray, if you desire.
I’m grateful to be serving alongside you.
In Christian love,
Kristen
P.S. You can still give a year-end gift, as God leads.
