March 2023 Events, Opportunities & Connections!
Hola ,
Incoming are this week's events, job openings, resources, and opportunities.
Pero first, another quick reminder from Danay.
LOTW: (That's Lesson of the Week for those Acronym lovers.)
AMIGAS: We live in a world of clickbait and sometimes it's difficult to know who and what to trust. The answer lies in finding out more about a topic and not jumping to a conclusion no matter how much the issue may look black and white. A good example is our my chat with the producer of Alina of Cuba, John Martizes O'Felan. Check it out and let us know if it made you think more deeply about the topic of Laitno representation in Hollywood.
Here are two ways to get more involved.
- Submit your entry for the AMIGOS Mother's Day Gift Guide
- Apply to host, co-host, moderate or help out with audio events and you can be featured on our socials!
REMEMBER TO TAKE ACTION.

Our cultural heritage is a vital part of who we are, but very often we have negative experiences because of the way others perceive us based on their expectations of what being Latinx means. When we are focused on dealing with internalized prejudice – be it that of others or even our own – we do not have time or energy left to realize our true potential.
