Which is why last year was particularly hard: hard hearing the reports from our fellow Latinx entrepreneurs about being left out of the Paycheck Protection Program, and hard watching thousands of small, Latinx-owned businesses, who were already more exposed due to centuries of inequity, close their doors for good. But today, we are excited to share that Comcast has launched a multi-year, multi-faceted initiative designed to help strengthen small businesses owned by people of color, who were hit hardest by the pandemic. Going beyond funding and one-time donations, Comcast RISE is helping these business owners take stock, rebuild, and achieve their goals now, and in the future.
Female Founders Alliance: Ready Set Raise Cohort 4
A national, industry agnostic, virtual pitching, and fundraising accelerator for women and non-binary founders. The program is designed for pre-seed and seed startups across industries located anywhere in North America. The priority application deadline is September 9, 2021, and the final deadline is October 3, 2021.
WomensNet is offering a $10K Amber Grant each month to a woman-owned business.
The Amber Grant is a monthly $10,000 grant. Additional smaller grants may be awarded as well. Women can apply at the Amber Grants for Women website, and winners are picked from a judging panel from WomensNet.
Creciendo con TikTok, a Small Business Grant Program
TikTok, HHF and partners have partnered to create a $150,000 Grant Fund aimed at expanding and elevating 30 Small Latinx Businesses across the US. celebrating the perseverance, hard work and commitment of Latinx Business Owners as champions of entrepreneurship during the COVID crisis, the fund will grant cash awards of $5,000 each to selected Latinx business owners from across the country who exemplify those business principles championed through TikTok.
The Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship at Cornell
The new Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship at Cornell offers an unparalleled opportunity for women to earn a certificate in business from this Ivy League university. Through a free online program made possible by Bank of America, students will gain the skills, knowledge and resources necessary to build, manage and scale a successful business. JOANN GRANTS for Hispanic Crafters & Sewers
The second annual JOANN Minority Grant Program will provide grants totaling $100,000 to 20 small Hispanic business owners, in need of support to help achieve their business goals. Each grant recipient will receive $5,000 in JOANN cash to help broaden their creative product supplies to further spread handmade happiness among their customers. Applications will be accepted through Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 - October 15.
