Nov 2021 Events, Opportunities & Connections!

Hola ,

People say this every day...

It’s a saturated marketplace…

7 years ago, getting customers online was so much easier...

Every niche is taken...

You have to have a HUGE following to launch a successful online business...

You can always find an excuse.

Or you can TAKE ACTION.

Here are five ideas:

  1. Join our morning networking to tell people who you are, what you do and how you can help them or their network.
  2. CALL people and ask them what it would take to work with you.
  3. ASK you network how you can HELP them.
  4. Create a room around a topic where you can be of service. Then consistently run it to start adding prospects to your mailing list.
  5. ADD yourself to the directory.

All of these things are FREE. But they take effort.

Here are this week's Events, Celebrations, Career Opportunities, Resources and Help An Amiga.

REMEMBER TO TAKE ACTION.

Help An Amiga & Collabs

GinaLinn Espinoza asks...

Our 2nd Annual Adopt a Piñata for children in Central Mexico fundraiser is open. Would you like to help?

Last year our goal was 50 Piñatas for 50 families and we raised enough money for 75 families! Thank you.

Also, because they are handmade we were able to support the businesses of 3 local women, 3 local candy shops and 2 local paper craft supply stores. So your money really does go a long way.

This year our goal is 100 families and hopefully we'll exceed our goal with your help.

With help from the local family assistance department who shuttle us to the rural communities we surprised so many families. It was truly a heartwarming experience.

With the left over material we were also able to teach 15 women how to make Piñatas so they could start their own businesses.

👉 Please consider adopting a Piñata here

We are in growth mode and are hiring across many teams.

At PulsePoint, we don’t just hire smart people. We hire people who seek a relaxed, collaborative, and open environment where they can be creative, ambitious and have a huge impact. Climb Hire is a unique workforce development model based on the idea that talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not. Our hypothesis is simple: provide talented people who want to break out of a cycle of underemployment with a community of support, skills, and confidence, and they’ll have access to corporate jobs with upwardly mobile trajectories

Wikimedia Foundation, is hiring a Lead Human Resources Business Partner [remote, global]

This position will report to the VP, Talent and Culture (“T&C”) and work in partnership with the HRBPs, People Experience Team and the entire T&C staff to ensure support, alignment and connection to Foundation’s T&C services and programs, as well as acting as an ambassador for the Foundation’s values and culture.

✅ Comcast RISE - FEATURED

We are excited to share that Comcast has launched a multi-year, multi-faceted initiative designed to help strengthen small businesses owned by people of color, who were hit hardest by the pandemic. Going beyond funding and one-time donations, Comcast RISE is helping latinx business owners take stock, rebuild, and achieve their goals now, and in the future.

Comcast RISE stands for “Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment”, and brings together two of the company’s brands — Comcast Business and Effectv, both with expertise in the small business space — to help empower business owners with the tools, expertise and resources needed to navigate the economic effects of the pandemic. Recipients will receive help with their marketing, media campaigns and creation of 30-second commercials, as well as website and tech upgrades.

Qualifying businesses can apply to receive consulting, media and creative production services from Effectv, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, or technology upgrades from Comcast Business. Comcast RISE is now accepting applications from small businesses owned by people of color.

✅ Go to www.ComcastRISE.com to learn more and share with your favorite Latinx business owner, so that we may continue to rise, together.

📍Fiserv + Clover Back2Business Grant Program
