We are honored to host panelists and artists from Richmond, VA, Rev. Cora Harvey Armstrong and Family (gospel), and from Puerto Rico, Dr. Emanuel Dufrasne González and Taller-Conjunto Paracumbe (bomba).
Come join us and untangle the ancestral stories that are not reflected in many history books. We will expose the history and evolution of our African roots in music and dance, and how we are all connected in our current practices. During this panel discussion and performance we will be exploring the connection between Puerto Rican bomba and African American musical traditions in Virginia, in this case, gospel.

EveryoneOn is Looking for Contractors
This national nonprofit focused on eliminating the digital divide, is looking for 2-3 people that can serve as digital literacy/skills instructors, as part of our virtual digital literacy/skills trainings. We will provide the curriculum and the instructors will deliver it to 10-15 people. Positions are contractor-based.

IFundWomen Entrepreneur of the Year 2021: a funding program that rewards and celebrates woman entrepreneurs who have proven product-market fit, driven growth, and demonstrated a meaningful impact through their businesses.
Through the program, IFundWomen will be awarding one grand prize winner with a $100,000 equity investment. In addition, hundreds of thousands of dollars in monetary grants and coaching scholarships will be deployed to honorees and runners-up. Applications are open until September 20, 2021.
Nav's Small Business Grant: Each quarter, Nav offers a $10,000 small business grant to one founder to help them take their company to the next level. The runner-up will receive a $5,000 grant.
Applications are open until August 6, 2021.
FedEx E-Commerce Learning Lab: FedEx and Accion Opportunity Fund have launched the FedEx E-Commerce Learning Lab, a program designed to help woman entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color who are looking to develop or expand their e-commerce operations.
This fall, 150 small business owners from across the country will be selected to join the cohort program that provides coaching and hands-on support for setting up a virtual store, marketing, customer service, order fulfillment, and more.
Applications are open until July 19, 2021.
