Lizbeth Cardoso would love your help. She is producing an ad on discrimination in the housing industry and am looking to cast a non-union 4 to 7 year old Latinx kid in NYC or NJ. He/she will be the son/daughter of a mid-30’s LatinX couple. Non-speaking role. The shoot would be ½ to one day. Mom or father should be on set with the child. PAID. The shoot is in mid-March.

Yasmina Nunez is a Program Assistant at a nonprofit called A.S.I.A (Asian Services in Action) in Akron, Ohio. They offer wrap-around services such as visas, after school programming, translation services, housing assistance, advocacy for domestic violence victims, and a lot more. She works for the Refugee Youth Mentoring Program that serves the refugee population from between the ages of 15-24 years old who have been in the States for less than five years.
Yasmina is planning a virtual female empowerment event for the girls to learn about paths that professional women have taken to get to where they are now. Please let her know if you are interested in participating in the virtual event. It is on March 12th from 2pm-3pm EST.

HACU, Google accepting applications for Latinx Student Leadership Summit
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Google will co-host a Latinx Student Leadership Summit taking place virtually, on April 24, 2021. Undergraduate student leaders with a passion for technology (ie. computer science, engineering or tech-related majors/minors) and an interest in developing their leadership skills are encouraged to apply for the one-day summit. A total of 100 students will be selected. Application for the Summit must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. PST, Sunday, March 7, 2021.
