This Is What Courage Actually Feels Like (Not What You Think)
Courage isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s that quiet whisper that says, "Just try again tomorrow."
This week I want to share a moment when fear tried to stop me, but Spirit had other plans. I had to face something recently that triggered some deep fear — a trip to the dentist. And not just any appointment, but one that brought up memories of past trauma, bad experiences, and feeling powerless in that chair. You can call it white coat syndrome (doctors, hospitals etc) Previous dentists were not kind and quite judgemental.
Maybe you’ve been there — that moment where your body remembers even when your mind says, “It’s no big deal.”
But here’s the thing... I went anyway.
My heart was pounding. I had to do breathwork before I walked in. I used my oils, crystals, prayer, gathered my collective team, I grounded myself, I even gave myself Reiki in the waiting room.
And I made it through.
That’s courage. Not the dramatic kind, not the roar — but the soft whisper that says, “I’m safe now. I can do this differently.”
So if there’s something on your heart that feels hard, scary, or overwhelming this week — I want to remind you:
You don’t need to be fearless.
You just need to keep showing up.
