The Price Of Money: Important update

Mar 02, 2023 6:48 am

Hello!

You're receiving this email because either:

  • You bought the original version of my book, The Price Of Money
  • You've pre-ordered the updated and expanded version that's coming out on 30th March

Either way, you're one of my favourite people, and I hope you can feel the warm glow.

As we get closer to the release of the updated and expanded version, I have a couple of updates for you...

Update 1: My bestseller list quest

Given that I've just turned 40 and my most impressive accolade is still my 10-metre backstroke swimming badge, I really want to earn The Price Of Money a place on the Sunday Times Bestseller List.

It's not just vanity: appearing on the list will open doors to media appearances, encourage my publisher to give my next book a bigger push, and generally do a lot to spread the important ideas in the book.

But there's a problem: only hardback sales count towards the chart, and a lot of people either own the previous paperback version or have pre-ordered the audiobook edition.

So I started thinking:

Could I offer something so ridiculously valuable that someone might re-buy the book just to get their hands on it?

The answer, I believe, is YES!

Update 2: Introducing... The Wealth Sessions

As a bonus that will only ever be available to people who've pre-ordered the hardback, I'll be holding a series of online lunchtime conversations with some of the finest minds in finance.

I'm calling it The Wealth Sessions, because they're all designed to help you maximise your wealth in the years ahead, and a hardback purchase will secure you a ticket to all of them.

I’ve already confirmed guests that include:

  • William Green, writer for The New Yorker and bestselling author of Richer, Wiser, Happier
  • Andrew Craig, author of one of the UK's most popular investment books, How To Own The World
  • Claer Barrett, Financial Times columnist and host of the Money Clinic podcast

Not bad, hey? These are some of the best-known, most respected people in the whole of finance – and you can join me in having a private masterclass with each of them.

You can participate in as many of the sessions as you want, and ask your questions live.

And if you miss any? No worries – I'll send you all the recordings afterwards.

There will be at least five sessions (I'll be announcing more guests soon), and I'm planning to hold them all over lunchtimes during May.

How to join The Wealth Sessions

1: If you’ve already pre-ordered the hardback (and claimed your bonuses), a ticket is already yours! I’ll send you all the details nearer the time: there’s nothing you need to do right now. Good news, hey? You're now getting even more value for a purchase you've already made.

2: If you think it's great value to spend an extra £15-ish on the hardback so you can attend The Wealth Sessions – even though you own the original book or have pre-ordered a non-hardback second edition – great!

You just need to visit priceofmoney.co.uk to place your hardback order, then follow the instructions to claim your ticket.

3: If you don’t want to attend The Wealth Sessions, no problem! You don't need to do anything.

I know it might seem arbitrary to tie it to purchases of a particular format, and I know I'm risking annoying some people. But I'm trying to give the book the best possible chance of charting by offering something that's super-valuable in its own right.

Phew – long email!

I hope that's all clear, but feel free to hit "reply" if you have any questions.

And remember: priceofmoney.co.uk is the link you need to place your hardback pre-order and secure your place at The Wealth Sessions.

Thank you for your support!

Rob

p.s. You already have access to the free video course I've put together to accompany the book, which you can watch here. And as time goes on and there are developments in the economy, I'll be sending you email updates too.
