As we approach Colour Infusion’s 15-year anniversary #thinkconfetti this month, I’m reflecting on how far we’ve come since starting in 2009. It’s been a great journey of growth: from web and graphic design to mastering photography, videography, and building powerful brands. I love learning!
One key lesson I’ve learned is the impact that every detail has in building a successful business. In a recent brand development meeting, we explored that the average business has anywhere from 20 to 100+ touch-points across a client’s journey. Are they all mapped out with your brand in mind?
One huge touchpoint that is often overlooks is e-signatures - an easy and inexpensive client touchpoint that can bring a big impact. It should be consistent for you and all your team members.

- Promotions or events: Have a sale, promotion, or upcoming event? Use your e-signature as an additional marketing channel by including a brief mention with a clickable link. This non-intrusive way of advertising can be a great reminder for recipients to take action.
- Appointment booking link: For service-based businesses, adding an appointment scheduling link (e.g., through Calendly or another booking system) can be a smart way to encourage clients to reach out. This is particularly useful for consultants, coaches, or service providers who rely on meetings with clients.
- Reviews or testimonials: Have a recent glowing review or client testimonial? Include a short snippet in your e-signature with a link to “Read more reviews.” This adds credibility and builds trust with new contacts.
- QR code: A QR code in your e-signature can link to your website, a landing page, or even your digital business card. This is a creative way to offer quick access to important information and makes your email stand out.

- Simple: While it’s tempting to add too much information, simplicity is key. Avoid clutter and make sure your signature is clean, readable, and well-organized.
