SEO is shifting again in 2026

Good morning!

Organic search has always felt like a moving target. Isn't it exhausting?

Just when you think you’ve figured it out… the rules change: algorithm slavery.

But what can you do... Keywords, meta data, micro data, code snippets, algorithms… it can feel like a full-time job just trying to keep up [and it is!].

“2026: Now I have to be an expert, prove it, be everywhere, be perfect… AND run my business??”

Search is shifting again… With AI shaping results, it’s about being clear, helpful, and real. In other words… things you’re likely already doing.

Here are 2 simple ways to help your website show up, without turning SEO into a second job or spending the money to a specialist:

1. Start with the answer

People (and search engines) are looking for quick clarity, nobody is going to dig through your website to find out what you do). Instead of building up to your point, try flipping it: Say the answer first.

If someone lands on your page, they should immediately know (Inspired by Oran Klaff):

  • Why should I, the visitor, care (state common problem)
  • What is in it for me (how do you help them away from their pending doom)
  • Why you! (what is it that you are amazing at!)

Then you can expand from there.

Your task:

Create a small section just below your hero section, that answers that. Bonus if you can create something that creates "Dwell time", something people would ponder on, making them think: "This is exactly what I need". Dwell time could be micro story telling, or a reflective question, or a before and after image.

KISS - Keep It Super Simple: 1 short headline or question, 2–3 lines max, 1 final sentence that sticks.

2. Add JSON to your <head> code

Yayyy, this is a set it and forget it kind of thing. Search engines read your website like a human, but also look for structured information behind the scenes. That’s where something called JSON-LD comes in. Think of it as a little “cheat sheet” you give Google.

You don’t need to become a developer. You just need one clean block of code added to your site (usually in the head section), and you’re already ahead of most small businesses. Once it’s there, it just works in the background.

Your task:

Add one simple “about your business” JSON block to your site (or ask your web person to do it once). That’s it. No ongoing tweaking, no daily effort.

Just ask AI the right questions and it will do it for you. Give your favourite AI helper your website link, ask "write me the JSON head code for this". Make sure to check everything, as they are not always perfect with the details. Then copy/paste into your <head></head> code.

These two "slick ninja moves" - as we call it - that make a big difference.

Bonus - if you still aren't drained too much, also add a JSON version for FAQ!

Hope this helps!
