24 hours till your “SCED rocket fuel” intro arrives

Feb 20, 2025 5:00 pm

Hey ,

Two days ago I told you how SCED’s are the rocket fuel that can take you from doing your day job, to practicing with deep knowledge that massively accelerates outcomes for the kids you’re working with..

And I got to thinking that perhaps Dr Rachelle Martin said it better than me. So I thought I’d take a snippet from our interview to share with you here.

I just had this really aha moment because as a clinician. You know, I've always been interested in practicing in ways that really did create outcomes, but I'd never really come upon a systematic way or a more structured way for actually doing that... and I really saw the possibilities of more easily embedding this type of research into a clinical setting.
But also, I think the most cool thing was that most of the clients really loved it. Like, the young people loved having this ongoing sort of checkup of how they were rating their sessions that actually became part of the engagement process…
So it kind of changed my view of sort of onerous research that really adds to the burden to actually, this can be done in a way that's engaging and fun and actually really useful for both the clinician, but also the person who's being studied at the time."

Like I said in my first email…

ROCKET FUEL

  • Building knowledge about what actually works for each individual child

  • Understanding who is responding, who is not, and why, providing a more nuanced analysis

  • Building clinical knowledge in a specific area of expertise so that you can effectively share results and meaningfully, contribute to the overall development of clinical wisdom.

So if I've got your attention here are some more details about the SCED accelerator we are going to be running in March

  • This is an accelerator course for all therapists who want to validate or improve their clinical work.

  • Dr Rachelle Martin has designed this course to take you step by step from understanding what a SCED actually is (and isn’t), to designing and implementing your own SCED in your own way, wherever you work best.

  • It's being run as an activity in The Wired Collective, but if you're not a member, you can join us as a participant for this accelerator.

What will the accelerator look like?

This is an interactive course, where Dr Martin will take you through the steps of understanding, designing, planning, doing and evaluating a SCED in your own practice or clinical environment.

Each week includes a combination of live online Zoom calls and self-paced assignments designed to fit into busy schedules. In addition you will have access to small accountability groups for closer networking, and the larger group sessions for a broader platform for discussion and learning.

By the end of the program, you will have all the tools to complete you own SCED project directly in your practice and be well on your way to seeing results.

Meaning:

  • You’ll overcome Analysis Paralysis with easy steps each week so you know exactly what to do next

  • You’ll have an instant community of colleagues to support you and keep you motivated

  • You’ll have access to Dr Rachelle Martins who brings her academic expertise and clinical wisdom to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

…and you’ll walk away with the tools and confidence to integrate individualized, real-world evidence into your everyday practice.

I’ll be sending a link to the intro video tomorrow so you can see if this if for you. And if it is, we open registration next week so look out for that.

With so much enthusiasm,

Mindy
