And something completely different. I just read a novel that surprised me with its characterisation, storyline, and superb writing. If you like well written dystopian fiction that resonates more with Lord of the Flies than zombie apocalypse, do try the first book in this series. I don't know the author, and haven't been paid to promote this book. The link goes to Amazon. What does surprise me is the fact that some people rated the book with one or two stars because they didn't 'like' what happened in the book. Maybe it was just too believable for some. It was certainly dark in places. Can you imagine today's children surviving an apocalyptic event that deprived them of their mobile phones and fast-food? It's not a cosy scenario.
