Thought for the day...
The Jewish people despised the Samaritans because they were a mixed race. When traveling from Judea to Galilee, the Jews would take the long way around Samaria, just to avoid them. But not Jesus. He led the disciples straight into Samaria, so He could have an encounter with this woman at the well.
After a long conversation with the Samaritan Woman, Jesus revealed to her that He is the Messiah and she instantly believes.
She ran to the village telling everyone “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah? (John 4:39).
Because the Samaritan Woman was brave enough to tell others about Jesus, He stayed in the village and spoke for two more days. Many of them became believers and God’s chosen, beloved, precious, royalty.
And God chose you! Did you ever stop and think about that before?
Out of all the people in the world...
Out of all those who seem to be better Christians than you...
Regardless of your sins and mistakes...
He chose you to be right where you are today...
To be His hands and feet and help spread the gospel.
What a humbling thought!
