Cords of Kindness (Live Zoom Untwisting Discussion)

Join me for a joint Untwisting of the Word of God.

We'll meet Tuesday, July 15th at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time (New York time).

This one will be about church hierarchy. What is it? What's appropriate? What isn't?

I'll teach for a bit, and then we'll open it up for discussion.

Note: This won't be a discussion of the man vs. woman question regarding church leadership.

Rather, I'll be challenging, dismantling, and reframing the most foundational way we often view leadership, as opposed to how the Bible teaches it.

Some of what I teach will be drawn from my discussions in Untwisting Scriptures Book 2, but I've learned more since then and am eager to share it with you.

I'll plan to record it (no names will show on the screens) and send it to everyone who signs up.

This is free. No strings attached, except that if you're not already on my email list (for Tiny Untwistings, blog post notifications, invitations to events like this one, etc), this will put you on there. You can unsubscribe any time, of course.

By the way, "Cords of Kindness" comes from Hosea 11:4, where God said of His Old Covenant people, "I led them with cords of kindness, with the bands of love."

This character of God hasn't changed. "Cords of kindness" still describes how He leads His New Covenant people today.

And that's Untwisted Truth.

I hope to see you there.
