Meet Joe Kampert
Joe was born in the great state of Texas, but my formative years were spent in the Midwest.
However, the allure of my home state was undeniable, and I eventually found my way back to the vibrant city of Austin.
For the past nine years, I have immersed myself in the insurance industry, continuously expanding my knowledge and expertise.
My insurance career began as an intern, and since then, I have embraced various roles that have shaped my understanding of the industry.
From addressing policy-related questions and handling claims as a customer service representative to specializing in commercial insurance, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the diverse facets within this field.
My passion for leadership and team-building led me to take on the role of office manager for a startup agency in St. Louis, Missouri. It was during this time that I experienced the thrill of leading a sales team of over 40 producers.
In my very first month as a team lead, we accomplished a remarkable feat by generating $1.2 million in premium within the captive insurance model.
Inspired by the desire to create something truly special, my father and I embarked on a joint venture, and in 2018, we founded Redwood Agency Group.
Starting from scratch with just four producers, we poured our hearts and souls into building a thriving organization.
Today, I am proud to say that we have grown into a multi-million-dollar agency with a team of over 80 agents and staff members.
Our mission is to empower insurance agents to pursue their dreams and build businesses that make a lasting impact on their families and the community.
Throughout my journey, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in almost every vertical within the insurance industry.
I have mastered the art of building successful scratch insurance agencies, whether they are captive or independent.
Additionally, I have successfully established a national independent retail agency and aggregator, gaining valuable insights into effective marketing strategies along the way.
In fact we have generated over 900 leads using our social media strategies in 2022 alone, showcasing the power of innovative marketing approaches.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am passionate about giving back to the community and coaching sports.
