Hi – it's time for another book update!

We go public this week!

On Thursday, I'll be going public with the title and concept of the book for the first time!

I'm sure your life has been torture for the past few weeks, desperately struggling to hold yourself back from letting something slip to friends and colleagues. Well, fear not – only a few days more, then our little secret will be out there.

I'll be announcing on The Property Podcast and social media – but rather than bashing everyone over the head with it, instead I'm planning to find opportunities to make soft mentions as often as possible.

I don't know if the old marketing rule that "people need to see something seven times before they're provoked to take action" is true, but this approach has worked for me in the past.

A sneak preview

We held a little event for about 40 of our Property Hub clients this week, and I did a short presentation revealing the title and concept of the book to them:

The enthusiasm for the book in the Q&A and the general supportiveness gave me a real boost. It's the writing rather than the promo that's the fun part for me, but coming face-to-face with people who genuinely enjoy my writing made me feel better going into a couple of months of uncomfortable self-promotion.

Also on Thursday, people will be seeing the web page I've created for the book for the first time.

You can have a little preview by clicking here. Depending on when you visit it may or may not be finished: as I'm writing this it has placeholder text and dates carried over from The Price Of Money in various places. But never fear – it will be done by Thursday!

I won't be updating you next week because I'm off on holiday. So when I next write in two weeks' time I'll let you know how pre-orders are going, and tell you a bit about how many sales I'm targeting to hit the best-seller list...
