Thought for the day...

Luke 16:10 says, "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones."

There are times when God calls us to be more than we feel possible. I was recently one of the friends who sat with a friend, Pat, on her final days here on earth. I'm not "qualified" to be a caregiver, but I am qualified to be a friend, and that is what she needed. God called me, and I faithfully answered when I felt the nudging of the Holy Spirit.

Pat and I had a short conversation about Romans 10:9-10, "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved." Discussing this verse brought tears to her eyes and the assurance that she would be spending eternity in heaven. What a blessing to be used by God, and know that my sweet friend is now at peace in the arms of Jesus.

When was the last time you felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to step out of your comfort zone? Did you listen to the Holy Spirit and receive the blessing which follows? Don't miss out on these wonderful opportunities from God. They are life changing, both on this earth and for eternity.

Mary
