Ever wished you could clone yourself to tackle all those tasks on your ever-growing to-do list? Well, MrBeast might just have the answer!
Since listening to the Diary of a CEO podcast with Jimmy 'MrBeast' Donaldson, I've been down a rabbit hole, hunting down everything I can about him. This guy is incredible!
At just 26, his companies are worth multi-multi-millions (I'm pretty sure he's a billionaire!).
He seems to have a genuine desire to make the world a better place. Even if he gets some flak for it sometimes, like when he helped those people with cataracts see again. Seriously, who criticises that?!
Anyway, back to the point.
In another podcast I found yesterday called 'My First Million', Jimmy shared his strategy for scaling his businesses:
Cloning himself.
Now before you picture your office full of mini-'you' running around (though that may be pretty entertaining!), he's actually talking about a clever approach to delegation and empowerment.
MrBeast's philosophy is to:
- Identify core tasks and strategies that he currently handles, and;
- Then find and invest time with people who can take them over within six months.
He calls it 'cloning' because he aims to find people who can see the bigger picture and operate with the same level of ownership and vision as he does.
This 'cloning' strategy is particularly valuable for companies in growth or hyper-growth mode.
As your business expands, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up with everything yourself.
Having a 'clone' or two who can step in and handle critical tasks with a holistic understanding of the business can be a game-changer.
Here's how you can apply the MrBeast Cloning method to your own company:
- Identify your core tasks: What are the essential activities that only you can do right now?
- Find your 'clones': Look for individuals who are not only skilled but also share your vision and values.
- Empower and delegate: Give your 'clones' the autonomy and resources they need to succeed.
- Provide ongoing support: Offer mentorship and guidance as they learn and grow into their roles.
By 'cloning' yourself, you can free up your time to focus on strategic initiatives, while ensuring that your company continues to thrive and grow. It's a win-win!
