From Spinal Adjustments to Team Alignment: It's All Connected!

Hey there ,
Read time: a comfortable 2-3 mins
I am just back from my chiropractic appointment.
Iām embarking on this journey of health, wellness and care for my neuropathy and autoimmune issues.
And as I lay there on the table, getting all those little clicks and pops, it struck me: there's a surprising parallel between this whole process and the world of hiring for your smaller (non-corporate) business.
Let's start with the initial assessment.
The chiropractor doesn't just start cracking away; I was here last week, where they asked loads of questions, observed my posture, and checked my range of motion.
It's all about getting a clear picture of what's going on.
In the same way, when we work together, we don't just throw CVs at you.
We will examine your business goals, your current team dynamics, and your challenges. We need to understand the full picture before we can even consider solutions.
Next comes identifying the root cause.
A good chiropractor doesn't just treat the symptoms; they figure out why you're having pain in the first place.
Maybe it's a misaligned pelvis, or tight muscles, or even stress.
Similarly, when it comes to hiring, it's not just about filling a vacant seat.
It's about understanding the underlying issues in your team or business structure that are causing you to feel 'out of alignment.'
Maybe you're losing clients because of slow response times, or your team is feeling burnt out because everyone's wearing too many hats (including you!).
Then we move on to the treatment plan.
For me, it's a series of adjustments, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
It's not a one-and-done deal; it's an ongoing process.
And guess what?
Hiring is precisely the same!
We'll work with you to craft a strategy to attract and onboard the right people for your business.
It might involve refining your job descriptions, expanding your search, or even tweaking your company culture.
And just like my chiropractic care, it's not about a quick fix. It's about building a strong, healthy foundation for the long term.
Finally, there's ongoing maintenance.
I'll be seeing my chiropractor regularly to keep everything in check. You wouldn't believe how quickly things can shift out of place again!
And that's where we come in for your business too.
We're not just here for your initial hire; we're here for the long haul, offering support and guidance as your team grows and evolves.
So, if your business feels a little 'out of alignment', don't wait until the pain becomes unbearable!
January is just around the corner, and if you want a new team member starting in the new year, now's the time to start planning.
Hit reply or book a call, and let's chat about how we can get your team aligned for success in 2025.
Happy hiring,
Helen
