Greetings from the big city—
This is a quick round-up because we've got to check out of our hotel and find the kids a celiac-safe pastry, so let's start with the celebration:
🎉 I turned in Marianne's book to the publisher!! 🎉
Yay! Now the whole Bonnet Brigade series, as contracted, is drafted and moving through the publishing channels to get to YOU! This one is more intimate than some of the others I've written, but I feel like it uses that intimacy to speak to a deeply relatably human experience, and I really can't wait for all of you to read it.
Also, the second half is set at Cloverdell Manor, as per YOUR suggestions and votes, and it made me happy every time I typed it! I've also been working with a really wonderful map-draw-er, who is designing a pair of maps for Avonleagh Manor. We have the first drafts worked out (I'm not sure it's okay to share publicly, so hold tight for an announcement) but they are so lovely and draw you into the space — they'll be coming for Cloverdell too!

Next up, I have two short stories set with secondary characters from the Bonnet Brigade world (you'll meet them both at Avonleagh in The Domestic Diplomat), and a Lyon's Den book with Henrietta's story. Which other stories do you want before I move on from this series?
