The One Thing

Sep 30, 2021 9:07 pm

Earlier this week we had to use the bolt to transport ourselves to the office as our car was in the Mechanic shop.

I booked the cab and in no time, the driver drove through the various corners in our area and got to the front of our house.

As we got into the cab and Valour (my little baby) was jumping up and down at the back seat, I realized I was having this comfort because somebody dared to dream about this idea of moving people conveniently.

Without Bolt, We will probably have to get to a major road before we can get a cab and spend a large chunk of the time negotiating price.

Somebody woke up one day and thought that he could create an app that could endure the ease and simplicity of ordering a car with the tap of a button and have a GPS that aids movement around the city. It is beautiful how we all are here enjoying the benefit of a thought that was birthed into our world.

A little research showed that people didn’t really think the Uber idea made sense. “How would anyone reasonable person get into the car of a stranger”, they asked. But today, Uber is a global brand and very successful too.

What are the thoughts running through your head waiting for expressions?

Why do you feel they are useless to the world?

What do you stand to gain when you hide those beautiful ideas?

You may be sitting on an idea that will change how we live and perceive life.

Ground-breaking ideas do not usually come on the mountain or after 70 days fast, they are the ones that come when you are on your toilet seat or probably watching your favorite movie. They are the flashes you have when you eat your favorite food or at your favorite bar.

Do one thing today that brings you closer to birthing those ideas to life. Your ideas do not have to be perfect now but they begin to make sense when you start taking action. Your ideas may actually take time to become big and so you need to start today with one thing.

That ‘one thing’ might be registering the business name.

That ‘one thing’ might be talking to a web developer about pricing.

That ‘one thing’ might require talking to a business analyst /brand strategist.

That ‘one thing’ might be learning how to market your goods or service on social media.

That ‘one thing’ might involve you visiting Sheda House to start a course.

That ‘one thing might require you talking to a trusted friend.

Do not sleep today without doing that one thing
