2022. The year of unexpected plot twists! Lol! 

Okay, really though, am I the only one whose 2022 has been a barrage of unexpected plot twists and turns?!?! 

We got engaged! (This deserves a hundred more exclamation points! Lol!)

We found where we’re getting married! (More on this below!)

We’ve begun the big behemoth of wedding planning! (This stuff is no joke! Lol!)

We’re excerising and dieting! (#WeddingWeightGoals #ThisIsAFullTimeJobInItself )

We’re holding the vision of an epic honeymoon! (#ByeFelicia to travel restrictions! ;) )

We’re dreaming of buying a home! (All the positive vibes are welcomed to help us manifest this! Lol!)

We’re talking of other exciting future married life things!

Our professional careers are undergoing some big changes too!

Oh… and, surprise! I’m back in college! (Yeah, believe me, I didn’t see that coming either! LOL!)

So, I was sharing all of this with my best friend and joking about how I feel like my life has migrated to the Tower card in a traditional Tarot deck.

(Pictured above for visual reference. Yes, it’s very dramatic. LOL!)

Anyway, I kid you not, a few minutes later, as I was grabbing a fork from the utensil dispenser at the store, the entire contraption just fell apart right in my arms. I was literally standing there, blinking, and holding pieces of the dispenser in my arms as the nearby worker rushed over to relieve me of my self-dismembered burden.

I was still on the phone with my best friend and I jokingly said to her, “This is a literal representation of how my life is falling apart around me.”

We had a good laugh over it because as dramatic as that sounds and as terrifying the Tower Tarot card looks, to me, what’s going on in my life at the moment doesn’t feel “bad” or negative in the least. 

It just feels like a shifting, rearranging, and realigning type of process… in a good way! 

I mean, hello! Some *big* things in my life are taking place this year!

Marriage. School. Career. Home.

So, it just feels as if the “magic of life” (as the species world calls it ;) ) is clearing out the old and laying down a new solid and sturdy foundation to better prepare and support this next phase of our lives.

This “death/rebirth” or “build-up/breakdown” is a natural cycle of life and I welcome it! 

Our feminine bodies literally go through this on a physical level every single menstrual cycle. We build up our uterine lining, prepare for pregnancy (whether we want it or not lol!), release it, and then start the process all over again.

Every. Single. Cycle. 

Also, think about the seasons of nature. Spring, summer, fall, and winter. 

Same. Exact. Thing.

And here’s another example for ya, the phases of the moon. New moon through the full moon.

Yup. Samesies!

And since we’re talking Tarot and Tower card fun, the traditional Tarot deck follows this natural cycle too, beginning the journey with “The Fools” card (AKA new beginnings) and ending with “The World” card (AKA completion).

So, I’ve learned to embrace the natural ebb and flow of life, including the periods of “breakdown” or “death” because I know that rebirth is just around the corner which is where the new seeds that were planted begin to blossom and grow! :)

On that note, I hope you’re able to see why I’ve been so MIA and spotty on messages, social media, and all the authory things! And I want to TTTTHANK YOUUUU for your continued patience, understanding, love, support, and all the things as I make peace with the fact that all of the glorious writing/publishing/authory plans I made for this year are completely up in flames. And I’m watching them burn as I fly out of the Tower card and journey onto whatever awaits on the other side! ;)

Tell us a little bit about it!

Caswell Convict is an adult paranormal lion shifter romance. Maddie is a mind healer and the therapist assigned to one sexy VIP lion shifter who committed murder. He’s also totally off-limits… Really though, he is!
