March was… interesting.
I was going to use the word “unexpected” but I’m fairly certain I’ve used that word in every single 2022 newsletter. But when the word fits… Lol! ;)
Anywho, here are some quick life updates:
School & Wedding. Why do I feel like I’ve been dropped into a Young Adult Romance book where I’m juggling school and wedding planning (and that pesky thing we call a day job)? Lol!

Life. Unfortunately, I went a little too hard in the #WeddingWeightGoals workouts and had a mild setback where I benched myself for the past 3.5 weeks. This may or may not have resulted in a few spurts of emotional eating in the form of ice cream. Oops! ;)
Side Note: Losing weight is a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, and regressions and progressions. I’m constantly reminding myself to be gentle with myself—both mentally and physically—and honor where I’m at. And I’m learning to embrace my 32-year-old body—enhanced curves, cellulite, and all—while I pursue my health goals and visions.
To anyone who’s been on this Losing Weight roller coaster ride with me at any point in your life, please know that you’re not alone and I. Get. It. Losing weight is not for the weak of heart and mind! It takes courage, dedication, commitment, and a mental fortitude that could thwart even The Mastermind himself! (PS: In case you don’t know who that is, the Mastermind is a mentalist—and the villain—in my Orion’s Order series).
Authory things. Deacon’s Star audiobook is now available!! WOOT WOOT!!
I also recently “surprise” published my non-fiction fiction series, Ignite Your Inner Goddess, books 1 through 4!
Bookish Things. I am stepping up my storytelling game by reading my first author/writing book, The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler. I’ve juuuuust started it and because (1) this book requires a certain level of mental energy and (2) of all the things I have on my plate, I am not applying any pressure or expectations on myself to read this book by a certain date. It’s chock-full of such great information—some reminders, some new-to-me—and I’m just doing my best to take it slow so I can absorb everything I possibly can while not venturing back to the black hole of Burnoutville.
On that note, I am a firm believer in being a lifelong learner.
I am (or try to, at least) constantly dance the edges of my comfort zone in the name of self-discovery and self-development.
Heck, this entire author/writer’s journey I’ve (unintentionally) embarked on has been a series of just that! I’m definitely not the same person I was before I dove headfirst into the author’s journey and I know I’ve only just begun to glimpse what’s beneath the surface.
Plus, I’ve met some really amazingly cool people too (PS, that’s *YOU*! ;) )
Here’s to a journey of life filled with self-reflections, self-discoveries, self-development, and of course, books! Lots and lots of books! :)
