Over the weekend I was at one of the simplest yet happy gatherings of friends and family.

I joined my friend and her family to celebrate one of theirs and as I watched her parents, siblings, friends, and family, it was clear that most of them go way back , and had to travel long distances to be there, yet they felt the need to show up and celebrate their own.

The love and sacrifice, the honour and genuine connection were palpable. 

As I drove home after a beautiful day well spent, as the student of life that I am, I made a resolve to intentionally focus more on teaching my children and the children in the Mastermind Circle the simple things in life that truly matter.

As an action plan, I decided I will teach one simple everyday life lesson daily.

As the mentor mum that I am, I'll intentionally seek opportunities to practice these, use events that happen around us to start these conversations, and use stories and examples of the things they see, people, and books to reinforce.
