In 2019 when PTM was only 5 months old we hosted our first physical event which was a Vision Board Party for parents. 

At this time I already knew about vision boards as a tool and I had created some for myself in the last few years and even got our children (especially our son) to create one every year for the last 2 years.

A Vision Board by the way is a Visual (pictorial) representation of your goals on any material where you can see it and stay focused on it for some time.

I didn't understand the dept of the PRINCIPLES behind this tool as I do today, but I knew enough and wanted to share my little with others.

I had also attended training and all I wanted was to teach my friends and people around me to understand that it is an effective tool. 

I knew the importance of planning, I knew ignorance is deadly in parenting and I knew every child deserves an intentional parent.

Hence, I got each participant to pay a token and proceeded to use every kobo paid, plus extra cash of my own to provide materials and good quality food and drinks for the participants. Thanks to my dear friend Lola Daniel-Ayodele I was able to get a cosy venue an excellent environment for the assignment.

I also got in brilliant coaches and my friends who were experts in their fields to speak at the event. Indeed it was a beautiful evening, a fulfilling one. 

Why am I sharing this with you? 

♦ I want you to stop and create plans for parenting in 2022 because you must do.

 ♦ I want to tell you that we have achieved quite some remarkable feats with our children and this is because we have plans and are committed to those plans.

♦I want to clarify that calling a parent an " accidental parent" is not an insult, it's just the name for a parent it doesn't have a plan but simply goes with the flow. Anything goes, and that isn't so great with all the distractions all around us.

♦ I want to remind you that it is not enough to keep shouting I know what I'm doing in my head. You are a mentor and your children need to learn first hand from you. Creating plans with them is great mentorship and modelling.

♦ I want to remind you that the moment you decided to birth a new citizen into the society, you committed to being a contributor. You owe it to all of US to raise a wholesome child. Yes, it is our BUSINESS who you raise. And who raises anything at all without a plan?

"Ok, okay I get it, but how then do I start, or create a plan?"
