Dear

We had just attended an event at my son's school, and this conversation ensued between my almost six year old son and I.

Me :Hey sweetie, I noticed you didn’t take part in any of the presentations at the Christmas concert yesterday how’s that?

They had their first annual concert the previous day, and after two hours of lovely presentations by the kids I realized he didn’t participate in any of the activities.

Him: I don’t know, I’m shy and I don’t like dancing or singing.

Me: Oh really? I didn’t know that. I wouldn’t have thought you were a shy person?

Him: Hmm…I’m just scared of doing things in front of other people.

Me : Oh, but you are never shy when we have our show and tell at home.

Him: Well, that’s because it’s just you and sometimes daddy.

Right there I knew we needed to guide him through his fears or whatever it was. This is how we started our journey toward building confidence, using his voice powerfully ,eliminating fear and learning the act of public speaking.

I knew it was time for motivation, I knew he needed to be inspired. I knew I needed knowledge and support in order to help him .

And so i started looking into the lives of young people with strong characters, who were already doing remarking things.

I studied what their parents did/do to ensure their kids were bold enough to believe him themselves . l observed their strategies, parenting styles and how they support their kids.

Then I started grooming my son, inspiring him daily through story telling .I would share the stories of these young people who were already creating solutions, putting out valuable and impacting the world. Our story times were always fun and the stories told in ways that kids can connect.

I could see his eyes light up everytime he heard a new story. He would talk with his dad about some of them, and the stories would filter into our conversations every now and then. They became some sort of reference for us.

I have compiled many of these stories into a book . "Bedtime Stories for Champions." This book has over twenty inspiring stories that will get your little ones spurred . It will set their minds thinking of creative things and possible solutions.

This has set my son on a journey of self discovery. It has been amazing supporting him and watching him begin the process towards finding his Purpose. Today we are honing skills and interests and taking one step at a time towards his purpose.
