The moment I realized I was financially retarded

Hey
This is going to be one of those vulnerable moments when I share with you the moment I realized I was financially retarded.
Remember, "We listen, and we don't judge."
Judge away if you want. I don't care.
I'm sure everyone at one point or another has financed a car or something.
Remember that time?
How much were you paying in interest to buy something that depreciated over time?
That's when it hit me.
Every dollar I had earned could be invested in protecting my #1 asset, MYSELF.
Not only would this stop my family from relying on a GoFundMe if something were to happen to me, but I would also be able to generate a tax-free income for retirement better than any registered account would, and I could pass down a massive amount of wealth to my son.
The investment would have a guaranteed dividend, it would compound uninterrupted, with zero risk, and virtually no tax consequences when built properly.
Then, if I wanted to buy a car or anything, I could borrow against myself, as I would against a house, and finance the car myself.
WITHOUT LIQUIDATING MY SAVINGS!
What's worse is realizing every dollar I had financed from a car company or bank was going towards these exact investments, which I now show my clients.
So I was playing a game where I was making the finance companies richer, while making myself poorer.
All I had to do was not be a dumbass and learn to direct my hard-earned dollars back into my pocket and put them to work for me instead.
This is what I see the banks and other finance companies doing with zero risk, while telling us to eat the risk.
Market tanks, and they say, "Stay the course, Nic, you're just getting a better price." The question is, who is moving the market, and where are they allocating those funds?
You guessed it.
That's why 91% of Canadians get nowhere financially. Ask yourself, "Do I have enough to live my retirement years comfortably?"
Probably not because we were given the playbook that made us play to lose.
I could have bypassed all of this, and my wealth would be infinitely greater today had I known this.
But that's why information like this isn't taught to middle and lower classes.
Our school systems are designed to create workers who are enslaved to interest, mediocre income, and a brutal tax system.
What's worse is that the freethinkers get punished by those who are enslaved and can't see it.
Isn't it fascinating that every successful entrepreneur was either a C-level bored-out-of-their-mind student or a genius that was bored out of their mind, too?
It's the entrepreneurs who got rewarded by understanding these principles and betting on themselves.
The truth is, with applied knowledge, we can change our minds, bodies, and finances. That also means we need to level up our identity to be in alignment with who we want to be.
Can't be a fit person if all you do is sit around and eat chips.
I hope this clarifies things for you!
