Changes to regional commissioning arrangements mean that your Practice will see a change in how Quasar is provided. 

We are writing to explain what this means for you and how we will support you going forward. Quasar will continue to operate as normal.

Continuity of Service & New Pricing

With the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board no longer funding Quasar, we are now able to offer the service directly to Primary Care teams.

• We can provide your practice with full Quasar access. As an existing Quasar Practice, your practice will receive a discounted rate of £50 per month +VAT (reduced from £100 ppm) This offer expires after April where it will rise to £100 per month + VAT.
• All existing data, records, storage, and access arrangements remain unchanged.
• Monthly or annual billing options are available.
• Direct provision allows us to prioritise enhancements that support the real operational needs of Practices, rather than commissioner-led requirements.

Action Required: Continuation Confirmation

To ensure uninterrupted access, we kindly ask Practices to confirm whether they wish to continue with Quasar by the end of March 2026.

If we do not receive confirmation by this date:

• Your Practice’s access will be scheduled to end on April 26 2026.
• A grace period will continue until May 26 2026, during which you may download or export any records you wish to retain.
• After the grace period, your Quasar account and all associated data will be securely deleted in line with our GDPR and data retention obligations.
• You will need to access Quasar to download your data for your organisation. This will be available in March of this year.
