Help Build the Future of Business on WordPress

For the last few years I've been asking myself one question.

Why does running a business require so many different systems?

  • One application for your CRM
  • Another for projects
  • Another for documents
  • Another for training
  • Another for bookings
  • Another for knowledge

Before long you're paying for half a dozen subscriptions and spending more time moving information between systems than actually growing your business.

I know because I've lived it.

I'm Phil, founder of Skills Shop.

For years I've helped organisations develop their people through workplace training while also building online courses and digital learning platforms.

As the business grew, so did the number of systems I relied on.

None of them really talked to each other.

Every new feature seemed to mean another monthly subscription.

Eventually I stopped looking for the perfect software and started asking a different question.

What if one platform could do it all?

Not by becoming bloated and complicated...

...but by becoming the operating system that sits at the heart of your business.

That's how Navigator began.

A business operating system built on WordPress.

Rather than adding another subscription to your business, my vision is to create a single platform that brings together your website, customers, projects, learning, knowledge and day to day operations in one connected place.

If your website already runs on WordPress, why shouldn't your business too?

This is the vision I'm building.

An early look at the direction Navigator is heading

Where Navigator is today

Navigator isn't finished.

In fact, that's exactly why this Founder List exists.

For the past few months I've been rebuilding Navigator while using it to run much of my own business. Every day I discover something that could be simpler, calmer or more useful, and that shapes what gets built next.

Today it already helps me manage projects, customers, bookings, tasks and business operations, but this is only the beginning.

Over the coming months I'll continue building new modules including

a learning management system, knowledge management, document creation, automation, reporting and much more.

Every improvement you see starts as something I genuinely need in my own business.

The goal isn't to build another CRM.

Most business software starts with features. Navigator starts with a simple question: "How should running a business actually feel?"

My answer is simple.

  • Calm
  • Connected
  • Focused

That's the standard I'm trying to build towards.

The goal is to build a connected business operating system that helps small businesses spend less time managing software and more time doing meaningful work.

Why I'm building in public

Most software companies disappear behind closed doors.

Customers only see the finished product.

I'm taking a different approach.

Every feature.

Every design decision.

Every challenge.

Every breakthrough.

I'll be sharing the journey with everyone who joins this list.

You'll get an honest look behind the scenes as Navigator evolves from the system I'm building for my own business into a platform I hope will eventually help businesses around the world.

Even better...

Your ideas and feedback will help shape what Navigator becomes.
