How to Prepare for Presenting 1
Feb 05, 2025 7:16 am
Hi ,
Their Time is Precious
Senior executives are some of the busiest individuals in an organization. They have packed schedules, constant decision-making responsibilities, and limited patience for unnecessary details.
So if you are given time to present, you must prove that it’s worth their while.
How to Handle This Time Challenge:
Start with the Conclusion – Unlike other audiences, executives don’t need long build-ups. Begin with the key message: What do you want from them? Why does it matter?
Be Clear on the Objective – Before you even begin, set the stage: “In this presentation, I will outline X, Y, and Z, and by the end, I will need your decision on A.”
Stick to the Time Limit – If you’re given 10 minutes, prepare for 7 and leave time for questions.
Use an Executive Summary Slide – Have one slide that summarizes the entire presentation in a few bullet points. This ensures that even if time runs out, they still get the key takeaways.
Distinguished , this is where I will stop now because I want you to immediately start improving your skills by implementing these suggestions.
