Let the Magic Begin!

Nov 20, 2023 6:59 pm

Hi ,

While the official first day of winter is still a month away, the winter magic in the Smokies is already in full swing.

The light displays in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge started last week and will last through mid-February. Christmas decorations go up next week at our cabins. I can't wait to share some pictures! We'll keep our decorations up through January so that you can celebrate all season long.

While we have a few limited dates left this year, maybe you want to wait and travel in January or February. It a great time of year to enjoy the festivities while getting great rates. Just select select a cabin, dates and guest count for an instant quote: www.vacationadventuresbyvicki.com/book

What's new with our cabins:

Ridge Top Adventure Cabin

We put up an "IG Wall"! Mingo Falls is the tallest waterfall around with an 120 foot drop. Take your group picture, post on your social and tag us. :)

We also rearranged our book nook making a cozy spot in the bunkroom.

We also switched to Starlink satellite internet for "lightning fast" streaming.

Graceful Goat Adventure Cabin

Our little bear friend Wesley is hiding in the barn waiting to be found and you'll also be greeted in the theater room by our new plush mascot. image

And while less exciting, we also added a disposal to the kitchen sink. The practical things have to be done too. :)

Flying Squirrel Mountain Retreat

There are so many amazing upgrades that are just wrapping up at Flying Squirrel. Some of those upgrades include our new pellet grill, smokeless firepit, basketball hoop and 2 hot tubs! You'll love the entertainment and relaxation of these new amenities.

Winter Magic in the Smokies

Great Smoky Mountain Bears:

Bears are still very active in the Smokies. They hunt for up to 20 hours a day in preparation for hibernation. There were 4 bear sightings at Ridge Top Adventure Cabin in the past 2 weeks and at least one sighting at Flying Squirrel Mountain Retreat. (If you missed them, there are videos of both on FB and IG.)

And these bears in a tree in Cades Cove were all over Facebook last week... Hard to believe they are so far out on those limbs!

We haven't met yet? Who's the host:

I absolutely love the Great Smoky Mountains. And I love helping my guests have an exceptional vacation experience. The memories families and friends make at our cabin inspire me every day! Hosting others in our cabins allows me the flexibility to be there for my three teenage boys and my husband. I am so grateful to be on this journey and thank you for joining me! It's always an adventure with us. :)

A recent review:

I just love reading guest feedback. Here is a recent review from Anthony who I had the pleasure of hosting at Graceful Goat Adventure Cabin.

"Majestic views, privacy, every amenity... perfect family getaway. If you're looking to get away from the noise of everyday life and enjoy the peace and serenity you can only find in a secluded mountain cabin away from it all... this is your place.

The cabin was spacious, spotless, and filled with every possible amenity you need to unwind and recharge. From the glorious sunrises over the Smokey Mountains from the back porch, moonlit, star-filled skies at night, fire pit, inground pool, hot tub, sauna, separate game/entertainment suite... just far enough of the beaten path to only hear the sounds of nature, yet only a short 25min drive to all the attractions in the area... this place has it all. Did I mentioned the best host and service you could ask for? Highly recommend, we will visit again. Thank you Vicki!"

Until next time...

All my best,

Vicki
