Kedu ?
Happy December and I think I can start saying 'Compliments of the Season' *grins*
Like play, 2023 is around the corner.
, have you started reflecting on how this year has been for you - both positively and negatively?
Let me share some of mine with you *smiles*
Over the years, I have learned that writing and sharing can be very therapeutic.
It helps you discover where you did well and where you didn't.
2023 is my year of being intentional.
And truth be told, I have been very intentional with the projects I embarked on this year.
I had to learn how to say "no" to projects that were not going to serve my purpose.
I had to learn how to "drop" projects that were not going to yield results.
I had to learn how to "let go" when plans didn't go as expected.
I had to learn how to "ask" for what my skills are worth.
Was doing all these easy?
Nope.
It was painful.
And some still hurt really deep *sheds sad tears*
However, I got some blessings from these disappointments...
#1. The gift of community: Truly I am blessed with an amazing community. For almost all the events/projects I embarked on this year, my community showed up for me, especially when I least expected it. This is a reminder that it is not in the numbers but in the quality of members you have in your circle *happy tears*
#2. The blessing of people: I am blessed with people who are constantly fighting for me behind doors that I can't enter yet. I am grateful for those, known and unknown, who keep recommending and cheering me on, even when I don't feel adequate enough *happy sigh*
#3. The lesson of money-making: This year, I made money through skills I have been undermining - because they are second nature to me. However, I still have A LOT to learn about being a businesswoman, especially when it came to the area of finance. Work in progress *determined look*
There are other valuable lessons and blessings, but these make the top three list.
, you may have disappointed some people and yourself, like I did, this year...
But try and see the lessons, and blessings in these disappointments.
And above all, forgive yourself...I am also talking to myself *hugs*
Let's learn from these disappointments and do better when future opportunities are presented to us.
As one of my godmothers reminded me recently,
"We learn from our life experiences to get better."
Alright, let me end this before I start crying me a river here *laughs*
On a lighter note...*switches to Coffeebasador mode*m
Happy Coffee recently acquired its own coffee roaster machine, and may I proudly add, NAFDAC approval! Yaay! This is great news for the community as these two amazing news have been long coming!
