When you are still building your business, it is usually advisable to utilize every free tool you need to market your brand.

However, as your brand starts to expand, it will be to your own benefit to upgrade and use the paid versions.

WARNING: Ejor DON'T go paying for tools that you don't need yet. Test them first before you buy them.

That was one of the best advises I ever got when I started my business and it saved me a couple of heart aches *giggles*

So let me share some anazing free tools that has helped me build my brand:

Social Media:

Duhhhhhh! *side eye* Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn...I can go on and on. These social media platforms are FREE marketing tools. The give you the ability to do FREE advertising of your brands. The only issue is that if you want more people to view your services online, you gasta pay some fees to upgrade. But for starters, strategically use the FREE social media platforms to market your brand.

Email Marketing

If you are reading this now, na email marketing be this *shines teeth* Most email marketing platforms have free versions. But as always as your continue to get more subscribers you will need to expand your email list capacity. But for now as long as you haven't exceeded your quota, enjoy the free versions. I highly recommend MailChimp for starters.

Google Digital Tools

Ever since I found out that Forbes Africa found me through Google (thanks to me documenting my activities online), I started taking my presence online more seriously. Go ahead and Google "Nnenna Fakoya-Smith"...what do you see? *bats eyes* There are so many FREE Google Digital Tools that we can use to market our business. I recommend "Google My Business" which helps you drive customer engagement. You can Google it to find out more.

And like I advised, before you decide to be "Team Fund Marketing", test the free versions for a while and strategically build your brand before you start putting some doh behind it.
