Rachel's struggling to forgive; what she needs is a helping hand.
Apr 28, 2023 3:36 pm
Hi
Do you ever think (even for a moment) that you're not good enough?
Rachel does. Trying to forgive her ex is destroying her soul and sending her on a downward spiral. Rather than leave her to struggle, the Lord has sent one of his angels to catch her before she hits rock bottom. After all, her new (rather dashing) neighbor would like to take her on a date!
Coming soon!
The Reassembling of Rachel
Many thanks to everyone who left me a review for A White Christmas in Berrycombe. It was so wonderful reading your comments, they really encouraged me. Especially ones like, "What a beautiful Christmas story. The author took so much time to flesh out the many characters in this book and bring a superb plot. What a thoroughly enjoyable read and probably my favorite Christmas story of all time.."
Makes me smile every time I read it. :)
I really struggle with something known as 'imposter syndrome' which is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. It seriously is only reader enjoyment that keeps me writing.

A White Christmas in Berrycombe is a small-town, Christian romance with a whirlwind of festive magic and mistletoe!
Another Amazon review: "This is the best Christmas story I have read. The characters are real, the timeline is current, and it exemplifies what Christmas and community should be like all year long."

My latest book review
The Stranger in the Lifeboat by Mitch Albom
5 out of 5 stars A soul-searching & uplifting Christian Novel
I feel like I was meant to read this book. I don’t have money to buy books these days and normally keep to reading books within my kindle unlimited membership. However, this book isn’t on kindle unlimited, but the day I came across it, it was on offer for £0.99 – I snatched it up, although at the time I wasn’t sure why.
I haven’t been gripped by a story so much in a long time. I couldn’t get up out of my seat until I had turned the last page, and I read it all in one sitting.
In short, the story is about a group of survivors who are adrift in a lifeboat after the yacht they were on sank. When they pull a man out of the sea into the boat, three days after the sinking, they are amazed he has survived. But when they ask him who he is he replies, ‘I am the Lord.’ There are several messages within this story that pulled on my emotions, two of them being that God promises to stay with us throughout everything, and that we are to survive this voyage of life, and then help others to do the same.
The book is divided into three points of view. We have ‘sea’ and Benji writing the events that happen into a notebook. Then there is ‘news’ where we watch the reporters telling of what happened. And lastly, we have ‘land’ and the story unfolding through the eyes of a policeman one year after the yacht went down. It is hard for me to tell you more without ruining the story. All I can say is as the story unfolds more mysteries are revealed. I started off reading believing that this was Benji’s story, but by the end, I realized it was Jarty’s (the policeman) story, my story, and yours. I was completely overcome with emotion at the end of the book and wept. The image of God in the boat and His promise to never leave Benji will stay with me always.
Mitch Albom’s writing style is simple - his message divine. I very highly recommend it.
