On the home front...

Thinking of how to pass family stories and heritage down to the next generations. The stories from my heritage and childhood are all part of who I am in Christ today. What a gift this would be to my children and grandchildren.

Mini Devotion...

Heritage - something that is handed down from the past, as a tradition:

Following a family reunion, I was reminded that we are blessed with a great Christian heritage. I had a grandpa who could quote scripture endlessly. On the other side of the family, I had a grandma who saved the end of each day for Jesus, by reading her Bible every night.

I will never be able to live up to their accomplishments, but I can however accomplish goals of my own to preserve our Christian heritage and help spread the Good News.

Some aren't as fortunate as me to have a strong Christian background, but that doesn't mean you can't pass down your faith to the next generation. Allow yourself to be the one who can quote some scripture and save the end of each day for Jesus, so your family will understand there is power in the Word of God.

I long to dwell in your tent forever

    and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

For you, God, have heard my vows;

    you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

Psalm 61:4-5
