BISEXUALITY AND SEXUAL FLUIDITY: EXPLORING THE SEXUAL SPECTRUM
FEEDBACK FROM COURSE ATTENDEES:
“Useful workshop to explore sexuality with inclusivity at its forefront”
Michelle Haringman – Counsellor
“Diane, brings a wealth of information and healthy curiosity to the subject, regardless of your sexuality or sexual identity the workshop is inclusive engaging and will leave you with plenty of aha moments.”
Shantelle Prosper – Counsellor
“Really enjoyable training, with a wealth of information which will enhance my not only my practice, but in my everyday life”
N A-H. – Psychotherapist
Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) as so often, got it right. In his theories related to libidinal drives he sensed that attraction and desires were omnidirectional, and that human beings could be attracted to anyone, independent of gender and sexual orientation.
And more recently in 2019, when asked by YouGov where their attractions lie, 43% of young people place themselves as between exclusively homosexual and exclusively heterosexual on a scale. That leaves 57% who don’t.
Unfortunately, this has not found its way into peoples’ general awareness, nor into the way sex and relationship therapists conceptualise the work. This is starting to change with GSRD (Gender Sexuality and Relationship Diversity) awareness, but more work is needed.
This workshop intends to explore ways of working with these invisible client populations.

JULIET'S MUSINGS
19 - On Receiving An Award
by Juliet Grayson
There is a particular pleasure, and a deep humility, in receiving an award. Not the blinding glare of attention, but a warm, steady glow. A sense of being quietly seen. And I have received two! One as a therapist, and another one I’ll tell you about.
As a therapist, much of my work is invisible. It happens in whispered moments, in tears that finally fall, in the courage it takes to tell the truth. It is intimate, sacred, and often unnoticed.
