CONTENT : this CPD workshop is a balance of theoretical input, reflection and sharing in small and large groups, some poetry and prose, and a creative exercise.
The workshop will focus on an exploration of grief through:
- the lens of two of our professions traditional models of grieving and other familiar writers’ contributions to the field
- Sue’s own definition and model of grieving
- looking at a wide range of sources of grief, beyond bereavement, including losses through separation and divorce, child development difficulties, Adverse Childhood Experiences and adverse adult experiences and looking at the grief involved in coming to terms with our existence
- exploring the idea of big ‘G’ Griefs and little ‘g’ griefs including complicated grief
- differentiating between grief and depression, and between grief and trauma
- relational debriefing and processing of the creative exercise
- the articulation of Sue’s relational models for reflection, processing and transformation of grief

TRAINER : Sue Parker Hall

Sue is a Certified Transactional Analyst (UKCP registered) and a MBACP (Snr. Accredited) therapist, with over 20 years’ experience.
She has lectured on higher education diploma and degree courses (validated by University of Plymouth).

She is a supervisor of practitioners (individual and groups) helping a diverse client population.
WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS DESIGNED FOR : Counsellors, psychotherapists, coaches and health workers are welcome to attend this workshop. The focus will be on one-to-one work with clients.
