CONTENT OF THE COURSE :
By the end of this course you will have
- Understood the prevalence of affairs, and different types of affair
- Explored some of the reasons why they happen
- Thought about common reactions to an affair
- Looked at distorted and defeatist beliefs
- Explored what is required in saying sorry and forgiveness
- Helped a (role play) client confront their fears
- Explored how the process of differentiation affects affairs, integrity and blame

ABOUT THE TRAINER : NICOLA JONES has worked with couples since
2006. She is Relate registered, accredited by the National Counselling Society and a member and Vice Chair of the International Attachment Network. She has a private practice in Portishead and Bristol where she works with individuals, couples and families. Nicola has an MA in Gender Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (2008), has trained in family systems therapy with the Institute of Family Therapy, trained at The Bowlby Centre for 2 years. Nicola has considerable experience of, and her clinical work is significantly informed by attachment theory with its links with neuroscience, infant development and developmental psychology.
SIX MODULES ON HOW TO WORK WITH COUPLES : This course is part of the six module workshop organised by Juliet Grayson, for people who want to learn about working with couples or enhance their current skills. APPROVED FOR CPD : This course has been approved by NCIP- National Council Of Integrative Psychotherapists. This course will give you 14 hours CPD
CPD FORM : A Certificate of Attendance form for Continuous Professional Development will be sent by email once you have filled in the feedback form. Please let us know when you book your 6th workshop in the Working With Couples series. We will ask you to return the 5 certificates from the other workshops, and we will prepare a smart Certificate in Couples Therapy that you can hang on your wall.
