what makes a book the best book?

Sep 29, 2022 3:06 pm

Dear ,

This week I'm collaborating with FOUR authors. And they couldn't be more different! Because I write in several genres, I know that you, my readers, read widely. Don't be surprised if one or two aren't for you. I'm sure there will be something that will interest you! All those links are below.

But first, I have a question for you: What makes a book the BEST book, in your opinion?

This isn't any scientific research poll, I'm just interested in what a book needs to have for you to think it's great. Do you like complex characters? Or a fast-paced action-packed plot? Do you like lots of big word and story structure that's inventive? Do you prefer a book that doesn't make you look in a dictionary?

Are you looking to learn? To escape? To be entertained?

I would love to hear from you! Also, what are your ALL TIME favorites? The books you tell everyone about or read several times?

Hit reply to let me know!

You can get it on Amazon here.

Next, there's Beauty's Curse, a retelling of Beauty and The Beast. WARNING: Highly Steamy. The sex is all out in the open in this book. It isn't categorized as erotica, but looking at the reviews, I would say anyone who doesn't want very steamy sex on the page shouldn't get this book.

If you do like books with Spicy sex, you can get Beauty's Curse here on Amazon.

Now for Thyra: Befriended by the King's Raiders. Anyone like Vikings? If you like reading about the Viking era and strong women, you'll probably like this one!
