Applying intuition in a practical sense
What is intuition?
I love this definition, intuition is the combination of many micro bits of information.
See, the conscious mind is a powerful tool and the subconscious mind is a tool 10x more powerful. Many are unaware of this, they have no clue how to use the great tools at our disposal.
First we need to know what the tool can do, then we'll have a desire to learn how to use it.
Would you be interested in intuitive thinking if it could make your life better and easier?
Seeing the web...
Training your ability to feel intuitively is going to allow you to set yourself up for success.
Both practically and emotionally.
Intuition relies on a sense of connection, understanding how many parts there are to the whole, it's sort of a bigger picture thinking.
Yet, it can also be very detailed and zoomed in.
When you have a conversation, intuition can come in when you're reading the vibe, the tone of voice, body language and vocabulary.
This is happening quickly, your conscious mind is focused on listening, while your deeper self is doing complex processing of all the information it's observing.
Intuition can be tricky, there is also the concept of self deception, which can be confused with intuition.
The main differentiation I'd like to make is, self deception will be more focused on wanting and obtaining things...
Intuition is more idea based, it's a gentle maybe, while self deception is more sure of itself.
Anytime you or someone else has given only 1 solution, that's a sign deceptive action is in play. True positive thought understands complexity, that there are many ways to get to the mountain peak.
Must take time to reflect
Awareness comes into play here, we cannot build upon what we don't know could be better.
We have such an opportunity at our hands, yet many are so distracted that it's not evident to them...
The amount of tools we have at our disposal is mind-blowing.
The trouble is, there is an equal amount of distraction at our hands and the distraction is a bit easier to indulge in.
This is destructive.
How can we begin to train our ability to focus and become more aware?
It has to begin with subtracting what doesn't serve where we desire to go...
If you don't have a general vision for your life, begin there.
Detail exactly what you don't desire and reverse engineer.
Now you can remove the habits and people that are not aligned with your vision.
This process is not a one-time thing, more so we need to reflect each day and week to be sure we're not fooling ourselves.
This is a time to trust the gut feel.
Remember, you need to pay attention while aiming to trust feelings, as the mind is very tricky and it's easy to deceive yourself.
If the gut feel is leading you toward taking responsibility, studying and becoming better than you currently are, good.
If it's telling you things of an opposing nature, not good.
Balance
A great way to use the tool that intuition is involves NOT trying to create every solution with your conscious mind.
What's that look like?
Let's say you have a business situation that needs an answer, you're not sure what to do...
Instead of thinking, thinking and thinking you can try using your intuition.
You can sit down in a quiet and peaceful spot, I like the crisscross sitting position.
It took me a while to get comfortable in it lol.
And now close eyes while placing attention on the thought of a feeling, this will be how you'd IMAGINE yourself feeling once the situation has been solved.
Listen, this shit isn't magic.
If you do this sort of work and you don't do the practical work to learn, organize, use your mind and build you won't be helping yourself much.
This stuff becomes very powerful when you combine it with physical execution of task.
What do I mean?
Let's say you visualize twice a day for 2 5M sessions...
You meditate 1 time a day for 30M and mix some breathwork in too.
Those are great.
Now you pair that with whatever your highest leverage physical task are...
Some examples in my life:
Gym early AM, Writing early AM, Outreach AM, Education Afternoon, Calls with potential clients, Reading Afternoon and Journaling PM...
Some personal examples.
True connection
Getting aligned with your truest self, the intuitive nature can be difficult.
Here I will outline what prevents that from happening.
If we are in an environment filled with fear and negativity, your conscious mind will be so charged and alert that it gives no space for the deeper nature to guide you.
Even if the best thing you can do is close the door and put in earbuds, that's a great step.
See, deep down we know what we should be doing, but that sense of knowing is so intrenched within us it can be tough to get into touch with it.
One big thing that prevents this is distraction.
It's so readily available, many people choose to stay comfortable and numb their minds through constant distraction.
If you are scrolling often, watching TV and always with friends you'll be very far from your truest nature.
Your intuition usually appears when you're focusing your mind on something meaningful.
Not numbing yourself but actually living in the moment.
Intuition is much more likely to be trained while conversing, rather than watching TV.
See, you don't get somewhere great by accident.
NFL athletes train daily.
It's their life's work.
If you'd like to have a peaceful life and grow wise, it's very necessary that you invest time daily training things like your ability to focus and be intuitive.
Of course, you must balance this with many other important areas in our practical worldly experience.
Financial literacy, social understanding, hands on skills, cognitive skills, physical health and the list goes on!

I don't want you to be some guru who doesn't thrive in our world, it's key that we build both the spiritual skills and the physical skills.
If you do this you'll thrive
What are you doing that you know you shouldn't be doing?
Listen, nobody can ever help you if you don't wanna help you.
It's a commitment you must make, to create the best life you can.
Start improving NOW:
-clean up nutrition
-build exercise routine
-journal 1M + daily
-meditate 1M+ daily
-study 1H+ daily
-follow the 321 sleeping rule
-figure out what time of day you use your mind best
This life is not about where you end up.
It's not about status, fame, wealth and sex.
That stuff is fine.
It's not what creates a great life though.
What makes a good life is knowing you built your mind.
And then you can enjoy the worldly stuff, while not needing it.
It's about the knowing that you are responsible for your internal and external serenity.
Take away
Have you crafted a rough vision?
Are you super clear on your values?
If not...
Start with clarifying what you don't value.
Reverse engineer.
Then use your values to craft a rough vision of what you want to become.
Then break that vision down into practical daily actions.
Take time to reflect upon the actions.
Change, adapt based on results.
Commit to investing 10,000 hours.
P.S. If you enjoy this work and are an a budget - This is for you.
