How to get the most out of our limited 24hr days

See we all know there's limited time and energy.

You only have so much time in a day and that means we can't do everything, we have to choose wisely where we invest our limited resources.

So naturally it's helpful to figure out how we can get the most out of our time, at least when we want to do that.

Are you interested in getting a great return on your time?

limited resources

--

Since time is limited it's valuable, scarcity usually leads to an increase in perceived value.

The earlier you begin to think big picture the better.

Thinking in this way will lead you to connect dots and to design your life in a strategic way, those who live in this manner usually create joyful lives where they thrive.

See, that's the beauty of life, if it was not limited we would have no need to think strategically, since that's not the case we live with meaning, knowing that it comes to an end.

What's so intriguing is we have this cognitive decision to make, which is what lens do we want to look through?

You could interpret time being limited as a horrible thing, and live a life where you are scared of death, this is a gross choice in my opinion.

What makes much wore sense to me is to use it as a powerful source of fuel, an inspirational fire that drives us to become our most, to not waste time feeling bad, but to get up and find out how to become stronger.

That principle of which lens do we choose to look through is applicable in many differing scenarios...

trade offs

--

Speaking of differing scenarios, life is truly a bunch of trade-offs.

Where my philosophy comes in is to aim to create a beautiful balance between these many trade-offs. This balance concept is not a straight down the middle thing, it's very nuanced and there's 1000s of variables which effect what balance means for each individual.

A basic example, If you want to become a pro athlete at any sport, a trade-off is going to be that you're training so often that you barely have time to hangout with any friends.

This is a trade-off.

This is why not everyone is a pro athlete.

It's based off the quote that sounds something like "when you say yes to something you say no to something else".

The point comes down to knowing what you value and in what order do you value it.

Many humans are filled with regret in life because they had not taken the time when they were young to get clear on this.

That's not exactly their fault, as mainstream society is filled with distraction.

The average Joe is absolutely stuck in a world of comforting distraction.

There's not many things more important than having a clear, focused mind.

operating efficiently

--

Each of us is going to differ a bit in how we choose to define efficiency in our own terms, it's very helpful to know that everyone is going to see things a little differently.

This is just how it works, not everyone is going to see the world exactly as you do.

To deeply understand that will allow you to stress way less and therefore become more efficient.

The opposite of flow is tension and stress.

Now, you can be efficient without being in flow, yet the deepest forms of efficiency come from the state of flow.

What is this term?

Think about how a river simply does it's thing, the water is going and going effortlessly.

This is the same idea for a human in flow state.

It's when the mind is peaceful, without stress and it's clearly focusing on one thing that fully interest it. The more a human is in touch with the state of flow I'd say the better their life gets.

Of course I feel there are exceptions to many things, I'm speaking here assuming there's an underlying theme of balance.

See, because when you're out of balance as a person, or disconnected, you will have a much harder time getting to this place of flow.

I'd honestly bet that many adults have no clue what flow feels like.

So many are simply distracted and disconnected.

big picture thinking

--

I talk a lot about how destructive distraction is and how important having a clear vision is.

This is because big picture thinking is what started my entire journey. As an 18 year old I knew deep down I didn't want to travel the average route.

Degree and corporate job until 65, that image did nothing but make me want to die.

Well, if you're not going the average route, we better come up with another pathway.

We are best to begin with what we know we don't want to do.

To understand how we don't want to use our time.

See, we are here, that's just a fact, so we might as well find a way to ENJOY our time here, not simply act as a victim or a survivor.

The goal for me and my message is to give people the wisdom they need to thrive during their journey. Once life begins to shift into a game I promise you it all changes.

Even the stressful moments you start to giggle at, you notice yourself feeling a certain way and quickly choose to go back to feeling good.

You truly are in control of how you feel, although it takes many hours of work to get to the point where you are so aware that you don't fall into unpleasant states.

It's a continuous work in progress.

time management

--

Bottom line is we have 24 hour days.

Time and energy is not infinite.

In your life you will get exactly what you deserve, a tough truth for all of us to accept.

See, it's easy to compare and to act as if we have it hard or that someone else has it easy.

Reality is, that thinking does us 0 good.

It's actually harmful.

Our solution is understanding the balance of getting the most out of our time.

If you're tired of feeling weak and desire to KNOW you're going the right way, I have an offer for you at the end of this email.

If we are efficient in how we invest our moments, we will get to the end of our lives feeling content, as if we gave our all.

To manage time better we truly have to get REAL with ourselves.

What's more important the bar or your future?

Many people just don't ask themselves the brutally honest questions that they need to hear.

The trap of mediocrity is everywhere, many humans will hangout with other average humans just to avoid being alone with their mind which knows they could become much more than they currently are if they'd get real and begin asking deeper questions about what they desire.

act

--

So I usually lead with the thinking behind the changes or shifts I aim to help you create.

This is because the philosophy is the foundation behind understanding why you're taking the actions you take.

Now we get into actions.

Where are you wasting the most of your time?

It's important that you begin to subtract before adding new healthy habits.

Get real.

Are you watching to much entertainment?

Video games?

Wasting time with friends?

What's more important your hobbies or your future?

I'm not saying don't have friends.

Not saying don't watch entertainment.

I am saying you have to be intentional in everything you do.

If we are not strategic in creating ourselves we will be created by somebody else.

--

discipline or regret?

--

My simplest tip to help you get more out of your life is to wake up early as hell.

Listen, I don't know about you, but at night I am WAY less productive.

Way less focused and motivated.

So I wake up super early to get the most out of my days and I go to sleep early.

Are you okay being average or do you want to reach your truest potential?

Are you sincerely prioritizing your future self?
