Ego Development
There are many differing ways to view the world, this is what we call a worldview.
The ego is our sense of self, all the baggage we attach after "I am".
Our sense of self, or ego, will feel THREATENED anytime it's worldview is challenged.
That being said, the ego is tricky and has great defense mechanisms when it feels threatened.
This is a possible root to most of the suffering in our world, see egos get attached the their way of perceiving life and even if they're unhealthy, unhappy, many people tend to get too comfortable and scared to ever change.
Do you think your life could be better?
Comfort zone leads to hell
See, usually people choose to take the path that is easier in the short term.
This path is the one of instant comfort and pleasure.
The interesting fact is that life works in a counter intuitive nature, meaning that which is easy in the short term unfolds to be terribly difficult in the long term and vice versa.
Staying in your comfort zone feels easy, until you've done it for too long and your conscious starts to tear you apart.
You become trapped in the prison of your own potential, your mind knows you could become much more and your actions are not aligned with this truth and it leads you to feeling quite painful.
At least that's been my experience.
Life is so tricky, it's odd how when you avoid what you're scared of you become weak.
When you go directly into your fears you initially are scared and then you realize you can do it and this bolsters your confidence.
There are many examples of this nature.
Going to the gym is hard in the short term, sitting on the couch is easy in the short term, yet do this forever and the roles reverse.
You don't want to be gasping for air after walking up some stairs.
Don't attach to labels
Our sense of self is an interesting concept.
We love to use labels to try and describe ourselves.
This is fine, I think having detailed language to express things is great.
The trouble arises when people get so attached to the labels that they place on themselves.
They forget what they are before the label...
Remember that thing, called "I am"? THAT'S what you're.
The label is just for fun, you are NOT you labels.
You are the thing before the label, and whatever you choose to call yourself is just like wearing a costume on Halloween.
You are not what you do, you're not what you have, you're the awareness of the "I am".
What does this all mean?
It means that in a practical sense we should be very specific with our language.
To label yourself is to limit yourself, when you say "I am this, I am that", everything after I am is LIMITING.
So it's cool to use labels, as long as you're not hyper attached to the labels you use.
Rather, wear them like a costume, understanding that they're to be taken on and off.
What frustrates you is teaching you
To have your worldview threatened can feel equivalent to having your whole life threatened.
This is why humans become so offended when their tightly help beliefs are potentially up for question.
I've tried to change peoples beliefs before and from personal experience I truly feel we're best off to work on ourselves and our own things we can improve, rather than focus on changing others opinions that we don't control.
To try and control what you don't is to literally sign up for pain.
We don't want pain.
Well, some of us don't, many under developed egos aren't conscious enough to realize they actually create their own suffering through the things they consume and the actions they continue to repeat, eventually there comes a breaking point.
Where these people get so sick of being sick and tired, that's when they'll begin to question their ways of living.
We have to give them the space to come to these conclusions on their own.
The best way I've found to positively influence others is to work on yourself, to be the example you'd like to see and then you can hope that when they see you're doing well they start to realize, "Wait... Maybe he/she was up to something this entire time..."
Be intentional with your attention & energy
You have many different aspects which create who you refer to as "I".
One of the most unhealthy aspects of our sense of self is that our default mode is to crave the easy things.
The easy connections, habits and ways of living.
This looks like half ass friendships, environments of acquaintances and mediocre beings, addictions to porn, alcohol your phone and other bullshit.
It's priceless when you figure out that the hard path is the way.
Truthfully both paths are hard, yet one route is a bit less hard when you zoom out and look bigger picture.
To not develop your ego means you'll be trapped within the prison of your own making, your mind will be so chaotic that your life feels just that way.
What's mind-blowing to realize is that when you change how you think what you see each day changes to.
We create our own reality due to how we see ourselves.
If you are a huge fan of fast, aggressive sport cars I guarantee you you'll see them on the road.
If you're very hungry you're going to see a lot of places to eat.
If you're labeling yourself as depressed, oppressed and miserable you'll find millions of examples of justifications for these statements in your reality.
The world is not as it is, the world is as you're.
To waste potential is the greatest sin
We all have a choice.
Do we value this life we've been given, or do we waste our infinite potential.
Something that greatly determines the outcome of this question is are we life long learners.
If not, I can guarantee that you'll be wasting your potential.
To act as if you know it all is to prove that you're a certified fool.
See, I mentioned our sense of self many times in this writing.
We have the capacity to deepen our sense of self through daily education.
It took me a bit to come across this concept which is Ego Development Theory.
If you're AT ALL interested in learning about yourself, psychology, humans or how to make your life better you'll want to dive into EDT education.
I'll have a podcast & You Tube video out this week on the subject.
Listen, I know you're capable of growing massively, that being said if you could speed up your growth, would you be interested in doing so?
reply "CONFIDENCE" if you're tired of lacking confidence, not having your dream body and going in circles.
I'll help you turn that circle into an upward spiral.
Nobody is ever going to come and save you, which should empower you to save yourself.
See, I'm not at all "self-made", without the amazing education I've gotten through You Tube and Podcast I'd be aimless.
It's such an opportunity we have at our hands, so much knowledge available if you'll identify how important it is to advance your consciousness.
Test this
Here I'll give very practical guidance for you to further your development.
See, it all begins with your foundation.
Your foundation leads to your energy levels.
Your performance will suffer if you have low energy.
PRIORITIZE:
-great sleep
-exercise routine
-quality nutrition
-daily meditation
-healthy connections
This isn't crazy advice, yet I know many won't follow it due to not feeling enough pain.
That's okay.
Pain is a great teacher, remember these tips once you reach a place where you know changes are required.
Start here.
You're appreciated deeply
So you'll forever get what you give in this life.
If you want less internal and external suffering you'll begin working to develop your ego and understanding of why humans are the way they're.
Are you at a point where you're sick of being sick and tired?
Are you participating in actions that lower your energy and create negative thinking?
I have 3 available slots for coaching for Q2/Q3
