habits - do you want to replace some?

Hi there
I am grateful for you - sincerely appreciate anyone investing in their health
This will cover some depth on the concept of habitual doing / thinking
--
The difficult part is admitting to ourselves the damage caused by an act.
We have fears that we are not even aware of.
Fear is a survival mechanism.
If you even ponder on quitting a certain habit, likely thing is, the mind goes into fear immediately.
Just notice that.
Then the mind creates excuses or justifications for the habit.
It's sort of like, there are two parts of you playing tug-o-war...
--
Practically, where to begin?
It's powerful to take out a piece of paper, and brainstorm all the PROS & CONS.
This is the initiation phase.
Usually, it takes time to remove poor habits.
This has helped me substantially:
-clarifying what I don't want to become
-admitting how a habit affects my mind / body
-creating a reason bigger than myself for improving my life
Start there.
Each habit you remove, you'll benefit from adding something small in.
For example:
-a stretching session
-a quick daily stroll
-reading a couple pages
-writing for a few minutes
-doing 1m of focusing on your breath
ETC, START SMALL!
