These are the things that people type into Google to do a search. And this is the difference between blogs that take off, and photographers who are stuck in the cycle of posting all the time but never generating traffic.

Keyword research will show you exactly what articles you should write. It's the way to get posts to actually rank and bring traffic to your site. And when articles rank, it can help the whole site rank higher too.

How do you do keyword research? Great question! You could do it without tools... but you won't really know what's going to be easy to rank for, and what isn't.

Here are a couple tools you can check out to get going that are on the less expensive side (SEO tools can be very pricey!)

• Keywords everywhere - Roughly $2/month and gives you tons of data as you search on Google directly and through other photographer's sites!
• Keyword Finder by Mangools - One of my favorite tools, a bit more expensive but you could sign up for a month to do your research and then cancel the plan, great for organizing a list and staying on track.

I recommend diving DEEP here and making a huge list of your best keywords and exporting from the tools. Then you'll have content to produce for a long time!
