Niche for search engine rankings

Hi ,

You hear it all the time... Niche, niche, niche. And just about every time I've heard this myself, I've thought, "I'm a special circumstance because I'm great at all the niches I shoot!"

While... I have some GREAT news for you.

You can continue to shoot the niches you want to shoot. But if you want to rank on Google, set your homepage up targeting ONE SINGLE NICHE. Make it all about that niche! Pick your main focus, and if you don't have one yet, what you'd like to focus on.

Then... create additional pages on your site that are similar to the homepage for each of your other niches. You can link to these in the menu or even add a section somewhere on the homepage that also links to these specialty pages.

This way, Google will see your homepage and say, "This page is all about hiring a photographer for corporate portraits in the Denver suburb of Littleton." Specific to your niche and location of course.

Knowing this, search engines will be much more confident and likely to rank you for your main niche in your location!

Remember, every positive step you take in SEO will add up over time and get you where you want to go. Keep after it and trust the process.
