The key to ranking on Google as a local photographer starts with Google My Business. It's the one MUST-HAVE component if you want to show up in search results.

Google prominently features these location based results whenever someone in your area searches for your service. So if you're a pet photographer in Cleveland, OH, and someone in Cleveland searches "pet photographer", you want your business to be listed in the results!

But getting Google My Business set up correctly isn't as simple as filling in a few fields and checking boxes (even though a lot of people miss some of those fields and boxes!)
